The Tonyin TP33A is a soft, flexible foam interface pad for a sanding machine. Place it between a compatible sanding disc and backing plate to provide a more compliant contact layer. One side has a hook-and-loop surface for attaching the sanding disc. At 76 mm (3 inches), it fits compatible 3-inch sanding systems. This is one pad; the main image shows two faces of the same item.

How to use

1. Check that the pad, 3-inch backing plate and sanding disc are compatible, clean and undamaged.
2. With the machine switched off and disconnected from power, centre the interface pad on the backing plate and attach a compatible sanding disc to its hook-and-loop face.
3. Confirm that the layers sit flat and secure before restarting. Follow the sander, backing-plate and abrasive manufacturers' operating and speed limits; do not use a loose, torn or distorted pad.
4. Work with controlled pressure and keep the abrasive appropriate to the job. Stop the machine before adjusting or changing the stack.

Care and safety

After use, remove loose sanding dust with a clean, dry method and store the pad flat and clean. No washing or solvent-care method is published, so do not soak it or apply chemicals unless the tool manufacturer approves. The sander, backing plate and sanding disc are not included.
