Compact backing plate for detailed polishing

Tonyin TP46C is a nominal 3-inch (76 mm) backing plate with M14 mounting for a compatible rotary polisher. Its compact diameter is suited to controlled work on smaller or detailed areas. The hook-and-loop face holds compatible wool or foam polishing pads. Tonyin describes this backing-plate family as injection-moulded from micro-porous foaming material with soft, durable resilience to cushion pad contact.

How to fit and use

1. Switch the polisher off and disconnect its power before fitting or changing an accessory.
2. Confirm that the machine has an M14 spindle. Do not force or cross-thread the plate; stop if the thread does not engage smoothly.
3. Choose a compatible 3-inch-class wool or foam pad with a matching hook-and-loop backing, centre it on the plate and secure it according to the pad maker’s directions.
4. Before touching the vehicle, check that the assembly is secure and rotates without visible wobble. Use the polisher and compound according to their instructions, and keep the hard hub and plate edge from contacting the paint.
5. Stop if the pad shifts, unusual vibration occurs, or the accessory is damaged.

Compatibility and package

For a compatible M14 rotary-polisher connection. TP46C is not listed as a DA-polisher attachment. The sale item is one backing plate; a polisher, pad and compound are not included.
