SONAX Tar Remover, 300 ml

About the product

SONAX Tar Remover dissolves tar, asphalt and oil stains from paintwork and chrome. It also removes adhesive residue and splashes of underbody sealant. This offer is one 300 ml aerosol can; SONAX lists a 5 L professional package as a separate article.

How to use

Wash the vehicle and dry the area. Spray onto the soiled area, leave for about one minute, then wipe away with a soft cloth. After treatment, protect the surface with a suitable wax. Test carefully on new or refinished paint.

Limits and safety

Do not use on hot surfaces. The current Latvian SONAX SDS (version 10.01, revised 16 January 2025) identifies a highly flammable aerosol (H222), a pressurised container that may burst when heated (H229), possible drowsiness or dizziness (H336) and long-lasting aquatic harm (H412). Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area; keep away from ignition sources and protect from sunlight and temperatures above 50 °C.
