RUPES XC-2 Xtra Cut Compound is a 1 kg abrasive polishing compound for rapid defect removal. The manufacturer specifies it for gelcoat, high-solid industrial finishes, countertops, hard paint and aviation applications. It can be used after sanding or to remove oxidation and other contaminants.

Confirmed use

Compatible with dual-action and rotary polishers.
RUPES recommends compatible polishing pads: twisted wool or cut-and-finish wool for rotary work; coarse blue foam, wool or microfiber in its dual-action system. The coarse microfiber pad is intended for high-solid industrial surfaces.
Decontaminate the surface before polishing, clean pads frequently and do not oversaturate them with compound.
One 1 kg bottle; the compound is white and water-based.

Safety and storage

The RUPES EU safety data sheet classifies the mixture as harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects (H412). Avoid release to the environment and dispose of contents and container in accordance with applicable rules. Avoid skin and eye contact and wear suitable gloves; the mixture contains a preservative that may cause an allergic skin reaction (H317). Keep the container closed in a cool, well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight, heat and ignition sources. Consult the attached manufacturer SDS before use.
