CQUARTZ UK 3.0 is CARPRO’s refined consumer-grade ceramic quartz coating for enthusiasts and detailers who want a clear wipe-on/wipe-off process with a generous working window. The current CARPRO Global specification gives a real-world durability claim of 18–24 months and an application range from 3 to 40 °C. It creates a deep glossy, strongly hydrophobic surface with resistance to salt, chemical contamination, UV exposure, traffic film and wash-induced marring.

The 50 ml kit contains one 50 ml bottle of CQUARTZ UK 3.0, four 4-inch microfibre suede applicators, one CQUARTZ applicator block and one 16 × 16 inch orange suede leveling towel. The larger coating volume is useful for larger vehicles or repeated applications.

Application

1. Wash and fully decontaminate the vehicle. Remove bonded contamination, polish defects if required and wipe the paint with a suitable panel-preparation product to remove polishing oils.
2. Do not apply in direct sun or on a hot surface. Shake the bottle, wrap a fresh 4-inch suede around the applicator block and apply one or two lines of coating.
3. Spread the coating in a cross-hatch pattern over approximately 60 × 60 cm or 2 square feet at a time. Work systematically and control the flash on a small test section before covering the rest of the vehicle.
4. When the coating flashes, normally within about 1–2 minutes depending on temperature and humidity, level and buff it off with a clean towel. Inspect the panel from different angles and remove every high spot before moving on.
5. Replace the suede applicator about every two panels. A second coat may be applied after 45–60 minutes; if that window is missed, wait until the following day. Follow the current application protocol for the number of coats.
6. Keep the surface dry for at least 1 hour, preferably 24 hours. Wipe away water during the first day and avoid detergents and chemicals for 5 days after application.

Suitable surfaces and care

CQUARTZ UK 3.0 is suitable for automotive paint and can also be used on suitable wheels, plastics, glass and metal after a compatibility test. Maintain the coated surface with a coating-safe wash process and inspect it in good lighting after application so high spots can be corrected while they are still removable.

Safety

Work in a well-ventilated area and use hand and respiratory protection. Do not reuse suede applicators or coating-removal towels on paint. Avoid skin and eye contact, heat and ignition sources; keep out of reach of children and follow the current safety documentation.
