CARPRO CQUARTZ DLUX wheel and trim coating — 100 ml

CQUARTZ DLUX is a thick-film ceramic coating formulated for alloy wheels, rubber and exterior plastic trim. Its high silica content helps restore the rich appearance of faded trim, protect it from further fading and create a hydrophobic surface. On painted, polished or chromed wheels it helps resist brake dust and road grime, making routine cleaning easier. The 100 ml pro-size is suited to repeated professional use and larger workloads.

DLUX is designed for durable protection and can withstand the demanding conditions around wheels and exterior trim. It restores gloss and colour on suitable plastic and rubber, but the finished appearance depends on the surface preparation and the way the product is levelled.

Application to plastic and rubber

1. Work on a cool, dry surface away from direct sun. Clean textured trim thoroughly and remove all previous dressings.
2. Wipe with a suitable panel-preparation product, wipe dry and allow approximately 20 minutes for evaporation before coating.
3. Wet the applicator with a strip of DLUX and work one small area at a time, spreading a full, even coat from one corner outward.
4. On textured trim, work the coating evenly into the texture and do not wipe it off. On smooth plastic, wipe before it becomes too sticky; this creates a thinner film but helps achieve an even appearance.

Application to wheels and metal

1. Wash and decontaminate the wheel. On painted, chrome or other suitable finishes, remove iron contamination, polish if needed and degrease.
2. Apply an even layer to a small area and do not attempt to coat a large area at once. On wheels, monitor the flash time: it can be around 1 minute in warm conditions and up to several minutes in cooler conditions.
3. Wipe in a circular motion with a clean microfibre until the surface is clear and no high spots remain.

Curing and precautions

Allow the coating to cure for 1–3 hours without water. If the surface becomes wet during the first 24 hours, wipe away water before it dries. Avoid use on matte or satin finishes unless the installer accepts the risk: a semi-permanent coating cannot be safely polished off an unpolishable surface. Wear gloves, eye and respiratory protection, work with ventilation, keep away from heat and ignition sources, and keep out of reach of children. The product is flammable and harmful if swallowed; follow the current safety documentation.
