CARPRO CQUARTZ DLUX wheel and trim coating — 30 ml

CQUARTZ DLUX is a thick-film ceramic coating formulated for alloy wheels, rubber and exterior plastic trim. Its high silica content helps restore the rich appearance of faded trim, protect it from further fading and create a hydrophobic surface. On painted, polished or chromed wheels it helps resist brake dust and road grime, reducing the need for aggressive dedicated cleaners.

Application to plastic and rubber

1. Work on a cool, dry surface away from direct sun.
2. Clean textured trim with an appropriate all-purpose cleaner, rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
3. Degrease with a suitable panel wipe and allow the surface to evaporate before coating.
4. Apply DLUX evenly to a small area at a time, working into the texture and avoiding heavy overlaps.
5. On smooth plastic, wipe the residue before it becomes too sticky; textured trim is normally left evenly coated according to the application method.

Application to wheels

Wash and decontaminate the wheel, remove iron contamination, polish if required and degrease. Apply a thin, even layer to one area at a time. Monitor the flash: the wipe-off window changes with temperature and conditions; on wheels it may range from about 1 minute in warm conditions to several minutes in cooler conditions. Remove all residue with a clean microfiber.

Curing and precautions

Keep the coating dry for 1–3 hours and wipe away any water during the first 24 hours before it dries. Avoid washing for the first 3 days. Do not use on matte or satin surfaces unless the installer accepts the risk: the semi-permanent coating cannot be removed from an unpolishable surface without changing its appearance. Wear gloves, avoid eye and skin contact, keep away from children and heat, and use only for the intended surfaces.
