The HEX Compound 1 pad is the heavy-cut option in the 3 in / 80 mm foam system. It uses the same foam approach as the larger HEX pads and is designed for compact dual-action machines, where a small footprint helps reach tight sections while maintaining effective correction.

Cut level

Compound 1 is intended for heavy correction, oxidation removal, wet-sanding marks and rejuvenating older paint. The pad is suitable for dual-action polishing with an appropriate compound.

Application

Clean and clay the paint before polishing, choose a compatible compound and prime the pad evenly. Work a small section at a controlled speed and pressure, clean the pad regularly and inspect the finish between passes. Do not allow the pad or panel to overheat; test an inconspicuous area first.
