About the product

3M Perfect-It Fast Cut Plus Extreme is an aggressive abrasive liquid compound for paint rectification and refinishing. It removes sanding scratches after work with P1200–P3000 abrasives and can also remove oxidation, car-wash scratches and other defects from original automotive paint and headlights.

Application

Use the compound for the cutting stage on refinish paintwork and suitable original automotive coatings. It is intended for professional bodyshop and industrial use. The product can be used with or without water; test the process on an inconspicuous area and protect plastics, rubber and adjacent panels from residue.

Instructions for use

1. Shake the container well before use.
2. Use an electric or pneumatic polisher at 900–1500 rpm with a suitable 3M Perfect-It Compounding Sponge Pad or foam/wool pad.
3. Prime a dry pad with a sufficient amount of compound. Place the pad on the surface before starting the machine and work with medium pressure.
4. Reapply as required. The long working time and low dust formation allow the surface to be checked and residue to be removed with a 3M High Performance Cloth.
5. For the finishing sequence, follow with 3M Extra Fine PLUS 80349 on pad 50488 and then 3M Ultrafina SE 50383 on pad 50388.

Storage and safety
