RUPES D-A COARSE Wool Polishing Pad

About the pad

RUPES D-A COARSE is a blue coarse wool pad for compatible dual-action polishers. RUPES describes its blue foam as more rigid and dense, transferring tool movement to the surface more effectively and increasing cutting power. The pad is intended for removing severe paint defects.

Choose a diameter

The Ø option is the nominal model size. RUPES lists these pad-size ranges and compatible polishers in its technical sheet:

• 9.NW80H — Ø80 mm: listed size range 80–90 mm; LHR75E, LTA75, LHR75.
• 9.NW130H — Ø130 mm: listed size range 130–145 mm; LHR15, LK900E, LHR12E, LTA125.
• 9.NW160H — Ø160 mm: listed size range 150–170 mm; LHR21, LK900E.

The selected option supplies one pad of that diameter.

Use and care

1. Before polishing, prime the entire working face with a thin, even layer of compound.
2. Use small amounts when reloading the pad; over-saturation can reduce performance.
3. Clean the pad frequently during use with compressed air, a vacuum or the RUPES Claw Pad Tool.

RUPES recommends D-A COARSE, Mille COARSE and XC-2 compounds.

Availability

RUPES marks the 9.NW series as discontinued. The later 9.XW generation has a white wool surface and polyester foam interface; it is a different version and is not an option in this listing. Remaining 9.NW stock is limited. Contact us before ordering to confirm availability of the selected size.
