About the product

GLD Solvent ND is a specialised solvent for attempting the removal of dye transfer from light-coloured smooth leather or artificial leather when gentler cleaners have failed. It dissolves the upper colour layer, so the product is intended for experienced users and must be tested carefully.

Application

1. Try Leather Cleaner Strong or a suitable artificial-leather cleaner first.
2. Test on a hidden area, then apply a small amount to a microfibre cloth rather than directly to the surface.
3. Work with light pressure in short intervals and stop if colour transfers or the surface becomes tacky.
4. If colour is removed, plan a suitable Leather Fresh retouch; after cleaning and drying, protect previously unaffected contact surfaces with Leather Shield.

Important

Do not use on wet leather, aniline leather, nubuck or suede. The more severe the transfer, the greater the chance that colour matching will be needed.
