About the product

SONAX PROFILINE Ceramic Coating CC Plastic+Rubber (02410000) is a Si-Carbon coating for unpainted exterior plastic trim, such as mouldings and bumpers. The manufacturer also describes it for tyre care and protection against UV fading. The selling unit is one six-part kit; the product page confirms four application pads, without listing the remaining pieces individually.

Application

Apply a few drops to the soft foam side of an applicator and spread a thin layer over small sections. Mask paintwork near contact areas. If product reaches paint, wipe it off immediately with the preparation microfibre cloth. After about 3–5 minutes, remove excess with a new soft-touch microfibre cloth. Keep the vehicle dry and untouched for at least 6 hours; SONAX recommends 12 hours for a complete reaction. Use pH-neutral shampoo for washing; avoid alkaline cleaners.

Safety

The Latvian SONAX SDS (version 1.00; revision 9 November 2023) classifies the liquid as flammable (H226). Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks and open flames; do not smoke. Do not inhale vapour, use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, and wear protective gloves. Store closed in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place. The SDS notes that hydrolysis forms methanol; follow its first-aid and disposal instructions.
