CARPRO HydrO2 concentrated silica spray sealant — 500 ml

HydrO2 is CARPRO’s concentrated, wipe-less spray sealant for hard vehicle surfaces. Dilute the concentrate, mist it onto a washed, wet section and rinse it away to leave a glossy, slick, water-repellent finish. CARPRO also describes use over a CQUARTZ coating. This listing is for one 500 ml bottle, EAN 8809397810542; it is the concentrate, not ready-to-use HydrO2 Lite.

Application

1. Wash and rinse the surface; do not dry it first. Work in the shade. CARPRO says not to use HydrO2 in direct sun unless it specifically advises otherwise.
2. Dilute at 1:6 minimum, following CARPRO’s instructions. A specialist listing for this exact EAN gives 70 ml concentrate plus 430 ml demineralized water as an example for a 500 ml sprayer.
3. Spray a fine mist over one section of the wet vehicle.
4. Thoroughly rinse every treated area and any area the spray may have blown onto within 30 seconds. Do not allow product to dry on the surface.
5. Move to the next section and repeat until the vehicle is complete.
6. Dry the vehicle, then make a final light wipe with a fresh, clean towel.

Durability

The label on this bottle states up to 6 months. CARPRO Global’s current product page says up to 6+ months. These are manufacturer claims; actual durability depends on the vehicle, preparation, conditions and maintenance. The catalog duration characteristic follows the bottle label: up to 6 months.

Safety

The CARPRO Global EU safety data sheet for UFI 4800-U0RP-S00G-17T6 (revision 4.1, 31 March 2023) classifies the mixture as a skin irritant (H315) and as causing serious eye damage (H318). Avoid skin and eye contact. Wear protective gloves/clothing and eye/face protection. If on skin, wash with plenty of water. If in eyes, rinse cautiously with water for several minutes; remove contact lenses if easy to do and continue rinsing. Immediately call a poison centre or doctor. Keep out of reach of children.
