CARPRO FlyBy30 windshield coating — 20 ml

FlyBy30 is a dedicated coating for windshields and exterior automotive glass. It creates a strong, clear water-repellent film that resists friction from wipers, road spray, dust, car washes, harsh cleaners, ice, snow and bugs. The coating has a water contact angle of up to 112° and a sliding angle of about 15°. Water starts to move away from the glass at approximately 30–40 mph, depending on the glass angle and conditions.

One 20 ml bottle contains enough product for approximately 10 ml of coating consumption. The official durability claim for windshield water repellency is approximately 4–5 months, while other exterior windows normally require one coat.

Application

1. Polish the glass by hand or machine with a suitable glass polish and remove all residue. Clean the surface thoroughly with a panel-preparation product.
2. Shake FlyBy30 well and wet the suede applicator until it glides without grabbing. Apply an even overlapping layer to one window or a manageable section.
3. Allow the coating to flash and haze for approximately 1–3 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity. Level and buff it with a clean quality microfibre towel.
4. Apply two or three coats to the windshield if required; consecutive coats may be applied immediately. Clean the wiper blades after application and keep the glass dry during the initial cure.

Suitable surfaces and safety

Use on exterior automotive glass, including windshields, side windows and rear windows. Work on cool glass away from direct sunlight with good ventilation. Avoid skin and eye contact and follow the current safety information for the product.
