CARPRO FlyBy30 windshield coating full kit — 20 ml

CARPRO FlyBy30 is a complete exterior glass treatment kit for windshields and other automotive glass. The coating forms a highly water-repellent surface that helps rain, spray, dust and road grime move away from the glass more easily. The official specification gives a water contact angle of up to 112°, a sliding angle of about 15° and approximately 4–5 months of windshield water repellency under normal use.

The kit contains one 20 ml bottle of FlyBy30, one 50 ml bottle of Ceriglass for glass preparation, one 50 ml bottle of Eraser for final cleaning, an applicator block, a Ceriglass hand applicator, two 4-inch suede applicators and one 8-inch suede buffing towel.

Application

1. Wash the glass thoroughly and remove bonded contamination. Polish the windshield with Ceriglass by hand or machine until the surface is clean and uniform, then remove all residue.
2. Clean the glass with Eraser and allow it to dry. Shake FlyBy30 well and lightly prime the applicator so it glides without grabbing.
3. Apply the coating evenly in overlapping passes to one window or a manageable section at a time. On the windshield, two or three coats may be used; one coat is normally sufficient for other windows.
4. Allow the film to flash for approximately 1–3 minutes, depending on temperature and humidity. Level and buff the residue with the supplied suede towel before it becomes difficult to remove.
5. Clean the wiper blades after application. Keep the glass dry during the initial cure and avoid aggressive cleaning until the coating has stabilised.

Suitable surfaces and result

Use on exterior automotive glass, including windshields and side or rear windows. The coating improves rain run-off and wet-weather visibility and helps reduce the adhesion of traffic film. Always check the flash time on a small area first, work out of direct sun on cool glass and provide good ventilation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes and follow the current safety information for the coating and preparation products.
