Carbon Collective Platinum Wheels Ceramic Coating — 15 ml

Platinum Wheels is an ultra-durable 9H ceramic coating for wheels and other high-load metal components. After application it becomes the active surface layer, helping protect against brake dust, road dirt, chemical contamination and minor scratches while making the wheel easier to clean.

Suitable surfaces and protection

Use on painted, powder-coated, bare-metal aluminium, stainless steel, copper, steel and titanium finishes, including gloss, matt, satin and anodized surfaces. The coating resists temperatures up to 350 °C, so it is also suitable for brake components, suspension parts, metal centre caps and exhaust tips. A 15 ml bottle is enough for approximately 6–8 wheels, depending on wheel size. Two coats provide a manufacturer-stated durability of at least 2 years.

Application

Prepare the surface carefully: remove brake dust, tar, oils, waxes and dressings, then degrease with a suitable panel-preparation cleaner or IPA mix. Work above 5 °C in a well-ventilated area, wear protective gloves and do not dilute the coating. Apply two or three drops to the supplied lint-free applicator and coat one wheel at a time. Large wheels can be divided into sections. Bonding starts immediately; lightly remove residue with a microfibre cloth after 1–2 minutes and never leave the coating for more than 4–5 minutes before levelling. For maximum durability, apply a second coat after 2 hours.

Kit contents and maintenance

The kit contains a 15 ml bottle, one 75 mm microfibre applicator and foil packaging with instructions. Maintain coated wheels with car shampoo, pH-neutral snow foam or a suitable citrus degreaser. Avoid acid wheel cleaners, which can reduce coating durability. Remove accidental contact with paintwork, glass, trim or tyres immediately. Avoid eye and skin contact, do not ingest and refit the cap tightly after use.
