Precise masking for polishing and paintwork

CARPRO Masking Tape is designed to protect trim and other sensitive areas while polishing, and can also be used for automotive paint masking. The flexible red tape follows curves and body lines, helping you cover adjacent areas neatly before correction work. Select the required width from the product options; each listed option is supplied as a 40 m roll.

How to use

1. Choose a width that covers the trim or edge you need to protect.
2. Before polishing or paintwork, apply the tape to the adjacent trim or sensitive area you want to mask.
3. Guide the tape along curves and body lines, then press it down so it stays in place during the work.
4. When finished, peel the tape away steadily. CARPRO states that it removes cleanly for up to five days; remove it within that period rather than leaving it on indefinitely.

Material and performance

The adhesive is formulated to adhere to most surfaces, including EPDM rubber. The tape resists paint bleed-through and has short-term temperature resistance up to 250°F (about 121°C). These properties are intended for masking work and do not mean it should be left on a hot surface continuously. If the finish is delicate, aged or unfamiliar, test an inconspicuous area first.
